At Newmeasures, we are committed to building and maintaining a culture that promotes diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging – a culture where everyone feels valued, heard, and empowered to contribute their best work. We believe the strength of a team lies in the unique backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences of its members. While we acknowledge that there is much work that remains to be done to foster equity and inclusion, Black History Month provides an important opportunity to reflect on the achievements, culture, and legacy of the Black community.
This Black History Month, we’re celebrating several of our clients and partners who are leading the way in employee listening. Meet just a few of the incredible Black leaders we have the pleasure of collaborating with and learn more about the work they are doing to ensure all voices are heard.

In a field where jargon is the norm, Maya's direct, honest, and plain speech is refreshing. Her down-to-earth personality yields a genuine and authentic leader who has an uncanny ability to connect with everyone. She's not about “synergizing the workforce” or “leveraging human capital” –she's about creating trusting and safe environments where people thrive.
“My daughter told me recently that she was proud of me and the work I do. She said, "I realize I cannot be what I cannot see.” When I reflected on that very simple yet profound statement, it crystallized for me the importance of representation. It made me proud of the work I do each day to lead a team focused on elevating the employee experience, and that as a Black female leader, I know I am a source of hope and inspiration. I work tirelessly to create a work environment where every employee is motivated to be the best version of themselves, and I have an important responsibility to bring my very best to them."
