I have seen many employee surveys through my extensive tour through five different corporations in the last 30 years. This is probably the most scientific and most thoughtful approach I’ve seen yet. That’s because it’s not just a survey about employee satisfaction.

First, they are trying to blend in “Effectiveness” as well. That’s in recognition that we need to do both – run the business effectively and keep employees motivated. Second, they are attempting to use science (correlations) to determine which actions have the best chance of improving the key drivers of engagement. Thus guiding our responses to this survey.
